artichokes?milk?

Have you ever wondered who decided to pick up a very odd looking plant and call it an artichoke? If i saw something looking like that, i probably wouldnt eat it but thats just me. Milk is also a mystery to me Because are you just going to drink whatever comes out of that strange animal? hmm... weird...
